Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the NUC specialty is based in Bethesda, MD. This role involves performing PET/CT scans and diagnostic examinations utilizing radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, conduct radionuclide imaging of organs and organ systems, and assist with dynamic studies, assays, and radio assays in a hospital setting.
Job Details
- Location: Bethesda, MD
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 am 6:00 pm
- Shift Duration: Days, 8 hours
- Certifications and Education Requirements: High School Diploma including successful completion of an approved curriculum in Nuclear Medicine Technology; Nuclear Medicine Technologist license by the Maryland Board of Physicians; ARRT CT certification; Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification with current registration (NMTCB); Diagnostic CT certification with Maryland license; CPR certification required
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology, including performing PET/CT scans and preparing radiopharmaceuticals, with certifications listed above
- Responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing radionuclide imaging, assisting with diagnostic examinations, and adhering to safety protocols
- Submission requirements: Candidates must verify prior employment with any Johns Hopkins facility if applicable, with at least one year elapsed since last employment in the system
