Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a hospital setting. The position involves providing adult and pediatric respiratory care in various inpatient units including ICU, ER, L&D, Medsurg, Psych, recovery room, and sleep lab. The role requires extensive vent management, assisting with intubations, and participation in codes and rapid responses, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); minimum of 2 years of experience with extensive ventilator management in ICU settings; experience in adult and pediatric respiratory care
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Must have strong open communication skills, be flexible, and demonstrate honesty about skills and experience. The position involves assisting with intubations, drawing and reading arterial blood gases (ABGs), assisting with bronchs, and participating in emergency responses. The facility is highly accommodating and traveler friendly. The manager is a resource and is responsive to staff needs.
