Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is based in a Level I Trauma Center and involves performing computerized tomography (CT) procedures on patients. This role requires expertise in operating imaging equipment, administering contrast media, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety protocols. The position includes working during night shifts with specific scheduling and certification requirements.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour night shifts from 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM, every other weekend (3/12 or 4/10 schedule).
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; ARRT (Computed Tomography) certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 2 years of experience; location requirements as applicable.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information:
  • Explains examination procedures to patients and prepares them for scans.
  • Reviews clinical data to determine suitable examination protocols.
  • Prepares procedure rooms and replenishes supplies regularly.
  • Operates CT equipment manually, controls contrast media administration, and monitors patient reactions.
  • Assists radiologists with sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
  • Follows radiation protection principles and utilizes ALARA techniques.
  • Resolves image exceptions, ensures image quality in PACS, and completes all documentation accurately.
  • Demonstrates excellent team communication, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment.
