Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Specialty in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting Pismo Beach, CA. This position involves implementing patient rehabilitation programs to enhance mobility, function, and strength. The role includes supervising physical therapist assistants and aides, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining documentation in accordance with healthcare standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid physical therapy license in the state of California, relevant educational degree in physical therapy, and a minimum of 0 years of experience. Candidate must plan to obtain a license if not already active.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides regarding all aspects of patient care
• Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Communicate with physicians and co-workers to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation, including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility support
• Be familiar with billing policies and ICD-10 coding for Medicare, work-comp, auto, private, and cash pay services
• Ability to perform physical mobility tasks, including prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and bending
• Make independent decisions regarding patient care and participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant federal and state regulations
• Expectation to actively participate in company privacy training and report any privacy concerns
