Job Summary
Pharmacist Inpatient located within a healthcare facility, this position involves managing various day-to-day activities within the pharmacy department. Responsibilities include compounding, sterile product admixture, drug consultations, dispensing, providing drug information, and monitoring patient drug therapy to ensure safety and efficacy.

Job Details

• Position Description: Performs and is responsible for the daily professional activities of the pharmacy department, including duties involving compounding, admixing sterile products, drug consultations, dispensing, providing drug information, and monitoring patient drug therapy.
• Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy; experience in hospital pharmacy practice preferred; residency training preferred.
• Licenses or Certifications: Current California Pharmacist License.
• Qualifications: Able to interface with hospital staff and public in a courteous and professional manner; demonstrates emotional maturity, self-awareness, and consistently performs with integrity and respect; must have tact, good judgment, and self-motivation; detail-oriented; respects and protects the confidentiality of sensitive material.
• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per day, 40+ hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position involves frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The role requires compliance with confidentiality regulations and utilizes general office equipment including a computer, printer, and calculator.
