Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must have graduated from an AMA-accredited Ultrasound Program with a minimum of 12 months full-time clinical ultrasound experience. ARDMS certification must be successfully completed.
• Schedule: 12-hour shift, 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound studies such as Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pedi, Basic Vascular, and small parts.
  • May perform interventional procedures as assigned.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and history collection.
  • Review patient charts and obtain relevant clinical data for accurate exams.
  • Explain procedures to patients, maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Operate all ultrasound equipment knowledgeably, report malfunctions, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Rotate within departments, divisions, and off-site clinics, adhering to shift schedules.
  • Maintain effective communication with hospital personnel.
  • Execute paperwork, PACS, RIS, and reporting functions.
  • Prepare exam rooms and supplies, and stock necessary items.
  • Stay current with developments in imaging techniques and participate in continuing education.
  • Transport and transfer patients following departmental protocols.
  • Use independent judgment under pressure when performing exams.
  • Perform all other duties as directed.
