Job Summary
The facility is seeking a CT Technologist in the MRI specialty for a location. This role involves independently performing computed tomography procedures, utilizing established scan protocolsincluding contrast administrationand ensuring accurate documentation of image data. The position requires applying independent judgment and initiative to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program; CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of hire or primary registry acquisition; a minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and use of power injectors according to protocols.
• Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assesses patients for potential risk factors prior to contrast media administration.
• Utilizes complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, and documentation of images, completing procedures according to protocol.
• Communicates instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to help reduce anxiety and increase cooperation.
• Properly identifies patients using two identifiers and reviews patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal results.
• Ensures exams are properly coded, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered.
• Performs all duties in compliance with system-wide competencies and behaviors, and performs other assigned tasks.
• Must possess ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pennsylvania Act certifications (Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73).
