Job Summary
CT Technologist Location unspecified. This role involves operating computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment within a healthcare facility, providing essential imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, trauma, and emergency patients. The position requires collaboration with medical staff and support teams to ensure accurate and timely imaging procedures.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ARRT KBMIRT; must have valid license and certifications as specified.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; radiologic technology training or certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, with a preference for candidates with 3 years and trauma experience at Level 1 or 2 trauma centers. No minimum experience required if willing to accept first-time travelers.
- Location Requirements: No specified geographic restrictions.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities:
- Operate Siemens CT equipment including Somatom Sensation 64 slice, Edge, Force, and Flash systems.
- Perform procedures such as IV starts, ports access, stroke, traumas, and coronary CTA scans.
- Support on the unit alongside other CT technologists and lead technician during daytime shifts.
- Transport ER patients as needed, working within a team that includes support staff.
- Utilize CERNER electronic medical records and Mckesson PACS systems.
- Participate in weekend rotations and holiday schedules, with flexibility for holiday RTO requests approved by management.
- Adhere to scrub dress code in ceil blue or black.
- Contribute to operational and clinical excellence during a standard cycle including orientation shifts.
