Job Details

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician instructions.
• Responsible for delegation and supervision of therapy services for assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs supporting effective patient recovery and community reintegration.
• Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program design.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the organizations Mission Statement and Core Values, including safety, quality, and team collaboration.
• Completes comprehensive patient evaluations and develops appropriate treatment goals aimed at progressing patients within established lengths of stay.
• Documents medical records accurately, clear, and in a timely manner, including goal writing and functional assessments, in compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
• Participates in student education and provides supervision and mentorship, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Maintains professional licensure and completes all requisite continuing education requirements, adhering to state and regulatory standards.
• Applies organizational performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality and patient safety.
• Follows safety protocols related to patient handling, infection control, slips/trips, and falls, and adheres to personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality standards.
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation for each patient, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop targeted treatment plans.
• Provides care under signed, valid physician orders and insurance approvals as necessary.
• Promotes professional growth through ongoing education, self-study, and participation in professional organizations.
