Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo (ULTRA ECHO) Location unspecified. This position involves performing adult and pediatric echocardiography procedures in a healthcare facility. The role requires technical proficiency in imaging modalities such as 2-D, 3-D, and bubble studies, with responsibilities extending across various patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid BLS certification; state license (Compact license required); at least 1 year of experience in echocardiography; proficiency in adult and pediatric echocardiography, including TEE and stress echo; experience with charting systems (Epic); ability to perform advanced imaging such as Bubble Studies, Pulmonary Venous Return, and Complex Anomalies.
• Schedule: Shift begins at 7:00 AM, generally ending by 5:30 PM, with variation possible; 40 hours weekly.
• Responsibilities: Conduct adult and pediatric echocardiograms, including TEE, portable and post-surgical procedures, and stress testing; work with inpatients, outpatients, and ED patients; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV, radiology, and rapid response teams; ensure safety and adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE ultrasound systems, working in ICU or emergency settings, and performing procedures on complex cardiac anomalies such as Tetralogy of Fallot, Coarctation of the Aorta, and Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work rotating weekends and holidays; RTO requests should be submitted during application; candidates should verify prior employment at Providence facilities, if applicable; and references covering a minimum of 6 months within the last 3 years are required.
