Job Summary
Perfusionist, PROFF Location unspecified. This role involves supporting cardiac surgeries, including on pump and off pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) cases, valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures. The position requires collaboration with a team of surgeons and perfusionists to provide high-quality perfusion support in a hybrid cardiac catheterization lab setting.

Job Details

Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS Certification (American Heart Association). Minimum of two years of recent related work experience required. No specific licensure required for the state.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with call rotation one night per week and every other or every third weekend. First case starts in the operating room during weekdays at 07:30.
Additional Responsibilities: Support for adult cardiac procedures including CABG, valve surgeries, and TAVR. Work involves operating spectrum pumps and utilizing systems such as Viper and EPIC electronic health records.
Credentials and Submission Requirements: Completion of application, employment history, and clinical practice documentation. Evidence of clinical activity with at least 40 encounters within the last 12 months. Copy of training/diploma, board certification, and employee health clearance (TB titer, urine drug screen, flu vaccine or exemption if applicable).
Working Environment: Team of 3 surgeons and 4 perfusionists, with approximately 40 patients scanned daily. Orientation includes a 1:1 session with a perfusionist. Proper badge in/out procedures required.
Additional Notes: Candidates must be able to perform procedures in hybrid cath labs, including HIPEC over the Broadway campus if capable. No trauma level or specific hospital names included.
