Description

Job Summary
Dietitian in the DIET specialty located in the healthcare setting. The role involves providing medical nutrition therapy services to individuals of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The position supports the development and implementation of nutrition care plans, education, and counseling aimed at disease and nutrition risk management.

Job Details

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program, with an upcoming requirement that individuals taking the registration exam obtain a master's degree after January 1, 2024.
Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of a post-graduate internship required.
Currently holds a Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Schedule: Hours would be Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with open options for flexible scheduling.
Certifications: BLS Certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) via CDR.
Experience requirement: 2 years minimum preferred.
Ability to evaluate treatments or procedures for effectiveness using an evidence-based approach.
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and provide for nutritional needs based on cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs.
Works on nutrition care protocols for the assigned area and acts as a leader for the healthcare team in the implementation of nutrition therapies.
Must submit a license to practice and be willing to wait for approval.
