Description
Job Summary:
CT Technologist, CT Specialty, located at a healthcare facility, provides expert imaging services using Computed Tomography (CT) technology. The role involves performing a variety of advanced imaging procedures, including interventional cases and CT Angiography, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment to support patient diagnosis and care.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, Degree, Location, and Experience Requirements: Current ARRT certification required; ARRT CT Registry eligible preferred; NH Imaging License required; BLS Certification required; CT Scan experience required; 0 years of experience minimum required.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Supports and promotes the mission and values of the organization. Acquires scans according to radiologist and department protocol. Informs patients of exam procedures and provides clear instructions to assure patient cooperation. Assists radiologist during interventional procedures. Coordinates workload by scheduling inpatients and prioritizing emergency department patients. Reviews IV Contrast Questionnaire with patients receiving IV Contrast and completes documentation in Epic EMR. Reviews exams in PACS for completeness before submitting to the radiologist. Ensures patient safety at all times. Arrives on time and works through entire shift, including holidays and weekends. Completes mandatory learning, competencies, and continuing education units as required. Maintains HIPAA compliance, professional appearance, and workspace cleanliness. Troubleshoots CT equipment issues and contacts service as needed. Practices ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure. Performs all essential functions with physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, position patients, and remain standing for long periods.
