Job Summary
Physical Therapist (Physical Therapy) Inpatient Location: unspecified. This role entails providing skilled inpatient physical therapy services within an acute care setting. The position requires a qualified physical therapist to operate independently, managing a diverse patient population with trauma, stroke, and other acute conditions.

Job Details

• Certifications and Qualifications: Valid California license, BLS, and ACLS certifications; a minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience, including trauma, is preferred. At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, supporting a minimum of 40 hours per week. The schedule includes working Monday through Friday with three weekend shifts every six weeks, including holidays and days surrounding them. Additional operational details include the potential to float between like units, with the possibility of a block schedule at the managers discretion.
• Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive inpatient physical therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and patient education for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses such as stroke, trauma, cardiac, orthopedic, neuro, and neurovascular conditions.
• Requirements: Experience in acute care with trauma certification (stroke cert preferred), ability to work independently, and a valid license in the state. First-time travelers with relevant experience and a clean background are welcome to apply.
• Additional Information: The candidate may be required to float to related units, and adherence to hospital procedures and patient safety protocols is essential. The role involves working with specialized equipment, such as lift machines and therapeutic devices, and performing assessments for a diverse patient caseload.
