Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) Location: unspecified. This role involves providing respiratory care to adult patients within various hospital units, including ICU, ER, medical-surgical floors, telemetry, psychiatric, and NICU when applicable. The position requires flexibility to float to different departments as needed, with an emphasis on supporting respiratory, cardiac, orthopedic, and trauma patient populations.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend rotation.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or equivalent, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, EPIC electronic medical record experience, travel experience, and NRP certification highly desired.
- Additional Information: Must have 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, work in ER, ICU, medical-surgical, telemetry, psychiatric, and possibly NICU. Must be able to work in diverse clinical settings including Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Psychiatric units. Call and holiday requirements are included; no time off for holidays can be accommodated.
- Float: Client may float or reassign personnel within 30 miles of their original assignment as needed, within their clinical competence.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit active certifying credentials at the time of application and be available for the specified start date.
