Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: unspecified. This position involves providing diagnostic imaging support within a healthcare setting, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. The role requires a focus on quality imaging and efficient transmission of images to PACS, utilizing extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
Job Details
- Position Description: Works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
- Required Qualifications: Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH (California Department of Public Health), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required. At least one year of acute, clinical radiology experience and one year of off experience as a nuclear medicine technologist. Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine Technology) or CAMRT (Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists). Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required. Proficient computer skills. Needs CT/Fusion Certification.
- Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in support of the radiologist, providing assistance in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, with responsibilities including image processing and transmission to PACS.
