Job Summary
Perfusionist (Specialty: PERF) Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing extracorporeal circulation support during various cardiac surgeries, utilizing heart-lung machines and ancillary devices. The role requires working in a high-acuity environment, supporting patients circulatory and respiratory needs with proficiency in ECMO and other perfusion techniques.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Active Perfusion Certification, Active BLS certification (must be AHA), minimum 2 years recent experience performing perfusion procedures, proficiency with ECMO, ability to operate heart-lung machines and related equipment, and must have an active perfusion certification.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:00 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Will be on call from 6:00 am to 6:00 am (including weekends).
Additional Responsibilities: Performs extracorporeal circulation during cardiac surgeries, manages blood salvage and blood hemoconcentration devices, supports other medical specialties, and handles equipment setup, priming, and troubleshooting for ECMO and HIPEC systems. Communicates effectively with team members, monitors physiologic parameters, and adheres to safety and quality protocols.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cardiopulmonary Bypass (heart-lung machine), ECMO, and familiarity with relevant surgical procedures and equipment.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must meet all certification and experience requirements and be able to work the specified schedule and on-call responsibilities.
