Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Located in a children's acute care hospital, this position involves providing specialized respiratory therapy services for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients within a busy, Level 1 trauma, pediatric critical care, NICU, and pediatric unit. The role requires experience in NICU and/or PICU settings and supports a team committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Job Details

Position / Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
Years of experience required: 2 years minimum, with first-timers accepted
Certifications required: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
Location requirements: MO or compact license required at the time of submission; MO licensing allows submission without license; IL license in hand required at submission
Schedule: Shift Time: Days; Shift Hours: 12 hours; Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
Additional requirements: Must have NICU and/or PICU experience, and possess skills including aerosol setup, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), intubation, ventilator troubleshooting, trach care, and pediatric respiratory procedures
Clinical responsibilities involve support for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, with a patient census of approximately 320 daily.
Submission requirements: All certifications must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing; regulatory compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday prior to the start date.
RTO (Request for Time Off): Max of 7 days of RTO with manager approval; no RTO after submission or during the first week of assignment.
License Status: No local candidates accepted within 75 miles radius; travel within service line only.
Contract: Confirm shift in submittal; contract length is firm.
