Job Summary
The CT Technologist position is located in a healthcare facility, focusing on performing all diagnostic computed tomography (CT) exams according to established policies and procedures. This role requires delivering high-quality imaging services with compassionate patient care while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Job Details
- Qualifications & Certifications: Completion of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved School of Radiologic Technology plus completion of an accredited CT program, or a bachelor's degree in Radiology with two semesters of clinical rotation in CT. Licensure and/or certification include: CT certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and ARRT certification in Radiography.
- Experience: Prefer one year of clinical experience but not mandatory.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Position Overview: Performing all diagnostic exams related to computed tomography in accordance with facility policies. This includes positioning patients, assisting with imaging procedures, evaluating scan quality, scheduling patients, and maintaining accurate records. The technologist will also provide orientation and training to new staff and students, assist with interventional procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Additional Information: The role includes assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, injecting contrast, developing new imaging protocols, and coordinating patient flow. Proficiency in IV placement, performing all exam protocols accurately, and supporting educational activities for medical trainees are essential.
