Job Summary
MRI Technologist MRI Specialty Location: Not Specified. This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations according to department protocols. The role requires expertise in cross-sectional anatomy, positioning, and operating MRI equipment, with a focus on delivering high-quality imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, including 4-10 hour days/mids and swing shifts, with on-call responsibilities from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Monday through Saturday, and from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sundays, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include ARRT(MR), ARRT(R), or ARMRIT; education requirements are not specified; minimum of 2 years of MRI experience, with at least 1-2 years in hospital settings, and 6-12 months of acute care experience. Licensure requirements include ARRT registration and current license in Utah (if applicable), along with BLS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: MRI registration by ARRT.
- Additional Information: The role involves understanding and applying MRI safety policies, operating MRI hardware and software, administering contrast as ordered, and documenting procedures accurately. Post-hire expectations include competency in IV certification and completing necessary modules such as controlled substance and moderate sedation within specified timelines.
