Description
Job Summary
CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing advanced diagnostic imaging services using CT imaging modalities, with a focus on patient safety, image quality, and operational efficiency. The technologist will perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and ensure accurate documentation and patient education throughout the process.
Job Details
- Position Description: To provide diagnostic imaging services to patients using various imaging modalities, ensuring accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and optimal patient care. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures, including X-ray and Fluoroscopy, with C-arm, and operating in the Operating Room. Practices radiation safety following ALARA standards, troubleshoots equipment issues, verifies exam orders, identifies patients, reviews medical history, obtains consent, and maintains accurate records in the Electronic Health Record. Must be flexible to assist in other modalities, take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed. Supports clerical duties, inventory, and cross-trains other staff members as assigned.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT registration in Radiology (R), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain within 90 days if not already held), and legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years of age and successfully pass background and pre-employment drug screening.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and work with minimal supervision. Responsible for maintaining supply inventory, documentation, and adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
