Job Summary
CT Technologist in the specialty of Computed Tomography (CT) is responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Based in the healthcare organization, this role involves assisting in diagnosis, performing routine quality inspections, and supporting medical staff in a busy acute care setting.

Job Details

  • Location: The job is located in an acute care hospital setting, requiring candidates to reside at least 90 miles from the facility.
  • Position Description: The CT Technologist performs CT procedures, uses imaging techniques, modifies technical settings, and adjusts scanning parameters to optimize image quality while minimizing exposure. Responsibilities include routine quality control, assisting radiologists and medical staff, and documenting exam information for interpretation and archiving.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T.(R) & advanced registry in CT (R.T.(CT)); American Heart Association BLS certification; minimum of 1 year of radiology experience as a registered technologist.
  • Schedule: Day shifts lasting 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role requires the ability to lift support weights up to 50 pounds, work extended hours, and be available for on-call duties. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle stressful situations. Effective communication, de-escalation skills, and physical stamina are essential.
