Job Details

• Position Description:
  Provides respiratory treatments for pediatric and adult inpatients, with responsibilities including administering therapies based on acuity assessments. The department operates with approximately two respiratory therapists per shift, making assignments accordingly. The team includes both hospitalist and intensivist staff, who are in-house but not 24/7, with on-call after hours.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience:
  Certifications required include ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS. Candidates must hold a California license and have at least two years of recent respiratory therapy experience. No specific minimum years of experience in general, but a minimum of two years is specified for this position.
• Schedule:
  Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  Prior NICU experience is preferred but not required. The department may perform float shifts; flexibility is expected. Charting is done using Cerner EMR. The position involves working every other weekend and integrating into the existing holiday schedule.
