Description
Job Summary
Inpatient Physical Therapist (PT IP) position available in a healthcare organization located in the region. This role involves providing outpatient and inpatient therapy services, with a focus on rehabilitation, general medical, surgical, bariatrics, ICU, and cardiac patients. The therapist will be responsible for delivering skilled interventions in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting patient recovery and functional improvement.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient physical therapy; ability to work in acute care settings including general inpatient, rehab, sub-acute, and outpatient clinics; licensure to submit; start date of 10/19/2026 through 01/18/2027.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with swallow studies is highly desirable; OT candidates with swallow experience are preferred.
- Responsibilities include managing general inpatient, rehab (including spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries), and sub-acute patients, as well as outpatient therapy at designated outpatient clinics. Candidates must be adaptable to work in different clinical settings, and be comfortable with an overview of both outpatient and inpatient therapies.
- Additional Information: Candidates are expected to have at least two years of experience. Inpatient therapists will work in general inpatient, rehab, OR sub-acute settings, while outpatient therapists will provide services at outpatient clinics with a diverse patient population and a lymphedema program. Inpatient candidates must be familiar with Cerner electronic health records.
- May require working on rotation for holidays and weekends.
- Charting system used is Cerner.
- All candidates must have BLS certification and be licensed or eligible to submit license documentation.
