Job Summary
MRI Technologist MRI Madison, WI
Join our healthcare team as an MRI Technologist and perform highly specialized imaging examinations across a variety of locations. This role involves working independently with patients of all ages, conducting complex procedures, and ensuring quality imaging and safety standards are maintained.
Job Details
- Location: Madison, WI, with multiple site assignments including University Hospital and other locations as needed.
- Shift Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per day, Monday through Thursday from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with additional day or evening shifts on Fridays; no weekends or call.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology; American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification; BLS from the American Heart Association; two years of clinical experience; in-depth knowledge of MRI procedures including abdomen, brain, cardiac, pediatric, and peripheral vascular imaging, among others.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE MRI systems within the last 18-24 months; familiarity with PE pulmonary embolism exams via magnetic resonance angiography; prior experience with Epic charting system; ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
- Additional Information: This role requires strict adherence to clinical testing criteria including pass/fail telemetry assessments, with two attempts permitted. Certification in cardiac rhythm interpretation is necessary if prior attempts are unsuccessful.
- Responsibilities include performing technical imaging procedures, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, participating in quality assurance, and collaborating with healthcare teams to prioritize procedures.
