Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location unspecified. This position involves providing immobilization devices as required and selecting and operating Nuclear Medicine equipment. The role encompasses evaluating radio images, ensuring safety protocols, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and assisting with therapeutic use of radioisotopes under prescribed safety conditions.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology; valid NJDEP license; ARRT or NMTCB registry; BLS certification by American Heart Association; minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a busy hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Rotate work assignments such as Cardiology and PET/CT; perform daily clerical duties including use of EPIC, Teletracking System, Nuclear Medicine Information System, and patient scheduling; responsible for scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends; on-call as needed per department policy; greet patients utilizing A.I.D.E.T. standards; follow all NRC, state, and JCAHO guidelines.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE Equipment, Spect, Spect CT, and communication with patients, parents, and primary caregivers.
