Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Boise, ID. This position involves providing respiratory therapy for adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care units within an acute care facility. The role requires managing respiratory treatments, equipment, and ABGs, with collaboration from hospitalist and intensivist staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Job Details
- Certification, Education, and Experience: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC with at least 3-5 years of experience or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC with at least 2-3 years of experience. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Managing respiratory equipment, treatments, and transport for adult, pediatric, and NICU patients, including special ventilation modes such as NAVA on Cervo vents. Will assist only with intubation, with hospitalists or intensivists on-site 24/7.
- Clinical Requirements: Experience with Vents including Draeger and Servo U, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU/ PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed CPAP, HillRom Vest, and Metaneb.
- Orientation: Typically 2-3 shifts, including adult floor, pediatric, and NICU coverage as needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, with potential coverage at other facility locations within a 50-mile radius.
- Uniform/Dress Code: Any color, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
- Certification and Licensing: Active licensure to submit required.
