Job Summary
A career opportunity for a CT Technologist in an outpatient imaging department. This role involves performing advanced computed tomography procedures in a busy, full-service facility, primarily focusing on outpatient and emergency room traffic, including some operating room cases. Flexibility in schedule and the ability to obtain and maintain required certifications are essential.
Job Details
- Position Description: CT Technologist with fluoroscopy license, performing a variety of imaging procedures including abdomen, head, pelvis, and vascular studies, utilizing digital PACS systems. Must have fluoroscopy permit in hand prior to submittal.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: ARRT-CT certification, BLS certification, fluoroscopy permit in hand, at least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with a valid compact state license required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Work in a full-service department averaging about 80 exams per day, including outpatient and emergency traffic, with some operating room procedures such as pacemakers and orthopedic cases.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Moderately busy environment requiring proficiency in various imaging modalities, including CT arhtrography, drainage, biopsies, and brain perfusion studies.
- Equipment and Skills: Experience with Philips equipment, multilevel reconstruction (MRP), and various contrast media preparations. Candidates should be comfortable starting peripheral IVs and performing special procedures like thoracentesis and paracentesis.
- Additional Notes: The position requires working 3 of 5 designated holidays. Candidates will need to respond to specific scheduling requests upfront during submission.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, and provide two references from within the last three years, covering at least one year or six months if a CNA.
