Job Summary
A CT Technologist position is available in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing computed tomography procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. The technologist will verify patient identification, assist patients and their families, and ensure patient safety and protocol adherence throughout all imaging procedures.

Job Details

• Position: CT Technologist Location: unspecified healthcare facility.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science; registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible, with proof of diploma; advanced certification in CT; must become registered within one year of employment and maintain continuing education requirements; current competency in Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conducts CT scans, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
  • Administers oral and intravenous contrast following safety protocols.
  • Maintains thorough understanding of PACS, transmits and verifies images, and manages order accuracy.
  • Ensures patient safety and identification, assists with patient history, and documents incidents as needed.
  • Operates within protocol guidelines, ensuring quality diagnostic images are produced in a timely manner.
  • Precepts new employees and students.
• Certifications: Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences; advanced certification in CT required.
