Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist position in a healthcare facility offers an opportunity to perform accurate imaging procedures, including Cardiac, HIDA, gastric Emptying, Lung scans, Thyroid Uptake, and Tilts. The role involves operating specialized equipment such as Siemens E-cam and Philips Brightview scanners, with responsibilities extending to IV starts and EKGs, supporting patient diagnostics and care.

Job Details

Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NUC)
Location: Healthcare facility
Certifications & Education Requirements: ARRT or NMTCB certification, WV State Licensure, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM; rotating weekends with call every 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 24 hours); call one day per week when not on weekend call; 40 hours per week.
Requirements: Proven experience with IV starts and EKGs; familiarity with EMR-Meditech Expanse and PACS-AGFA IMPAX systems; ability to perform approximately 12-15 scans/studies per day; must be willing to submit license and provide a copy of current drivers license; must have a valid drivers license and unexpired radiation badge.
Responsibilities: Conduct nuclear medicine imaging studies, operate Siemens E-cam and Philips Brightview equipment, start IVs, perform EKGs, and support imaging workflows within a busy department.
Additional Information: Department operates with a lead tech overseeing daily activities, and radiologists are available on-site for immediate consultation.
