Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location
South Charleston, West Virginia
Assignment Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Rotating weekends
- Rotating call
- No self-scheduling
Department Details
- Radiology - NUC MED
- 4 scanners/rooms
- Average 12-15 scans/studies per day
- Lead Tech
- In-house radiologist
- Department-specific orientation provided
Required Qualifications
- BLS
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- WV State Licensure
- Experience in the specialty
- IV start skills
- EKG skills
- Unexpired driver’s license copy must be included with submission
Clinical Duties / Studies
- Cardiac
- HIDA
- Gastric emptying
- Lung scans
- Thyroid uptake
- Tilts
- Starts IVs
Equipment / Systems
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- PACS: AGFA IMPAX
- 2 Siemens E-cam
- 2 Philips Brightview
Additional Notes
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency; the facility will not provide it
- Does not float to other areas
- Scrubs are not provided
- Dress code: black scrubs, no embroidery, no t-shirts, scrub jacket only if needed for warmth, no Crocs with holes or backs out
- Weekend coverage is by call every 4th weekend
- Call is one day a week when not on weekend call
