Description

Job Summary
CT Technologist in the Boston area. This position involves operating computed tomography (CT) equipment to acquire diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining departmental standards. The role requires collaboration with medical staff and may involve floating among various radiology divisions and clinics.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Massachusetts CT license, ARRT (CT) certification, graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology, 0-3 years of experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include operating CT scanners and related equipment, preparing and positioning patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring compliance with departmental and hospital policies.
  • Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist supervision and maintains accurate documentation in the Radiology Information System.
  • Attends staff meetings and maintains appropriate continuing education units to meet licensure and certification requirements.
  • Oversees equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and inventory supplies.
  • Supports research, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in on-call coverage and flexible shift rotations as needed.
  • Utilizes independent judgment to perform patient exams effectively and efficiently.
  • Must possess analytical skills and effective interpersonal communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
  • May supervise and instruct medical radiography, CT, nuclear medicine students and personnel.
  • Operates in compliance with all safety and procedural standards.
  • Previous experience with Level 1 trauma settings and Siemens equipment is required.
