Job Summary

Mammographer MAMMO Islip, NY. The position supports a dedicated breast imaging department where mammograms, biopsies, and localizations are performed. The schedule consists of weekday shifts with alternating Saturday coverage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) radiology certification; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) mammography certification; New York State Department of Health license with no expiration; completion of at least 200 mammograms within the immediate past 24 months; compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements; documentation of 40 hours of mammography training, 8 hours of digital mammography training, 24 continuing medical education (CME) credits in breast mammography within the past 2 years, and 8 hours of tomography training.
• Preferred Qualifications: Documentation or a letter from the educational institution verifying didactic training, or a syllabus from the applicable training course.
• Schedule: Day shifts from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; 8 scheduled hours per shift and 40 minimum hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role supports breast imaging procedures, including biopsies and localizations. Dark gray scrubs are required.
