Job Summary

CT Technologist, CT. The position performs computed tomography procedures according to prescribed protocols to support uniform, accurate diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities include patient assessment, equipment calibration, radiation safety, quality control, documentation, and radiopharmaceutical handling in accordance with established procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM5:00 PM; 7.5-hour shifts; 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • New York State license as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography and current Computed Tomography certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • At least 2 years of computed tomography experience.
  • Skills in document imaging and computed tomography technology.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs computed tomography procedures according to prescribed protocols.
  • Uses appropriate kilovolt and milliampere techniques to produce quality diagnostic images.
  • Conducts daily equipment calibration checks and quality control, quality assurance, and safety testing.
  • Assesses and responds to patient needs before, during, and after radiology department visits.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and prescribed protocols.
  • Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses and verifies delivery and activity levels before administration.
  • Maintains required logs, manuals, charge documentation, and equipment problem reports.
  • Follows radiation safety guidelines, including the as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle.
  • Maintains and retrieves patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
