Description

1st Acute Med/Surg RN Full Time (36 hours)
Rotational D/E/N/W/Holidays
Required: NYS RN Licensure Required
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The Med/Surg RN develops specialized skill in the area of cardiac care including telemetry monitoring. The RN is accountable for patient family education to assist the patient and family in understanding self care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. He/She promotes comfort and provides emotional support in a healing environment. Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience BLS, ACLS, NYS RN Licensure Required 0 One (1) Year Experience serving in Med/Surg Environment as a Registered Nurse Required 1 Years
