Description

Shift:
Monday-Friday 0645-1515 with call/lates and weekend requirements
Work Experience:
The Surgeon's Assistant works under the direct supervision of the surgeon. The SAs must be knowledgeable in surgical anatomy and physiology, operative technique relative to surgical procedure and principals of asepsis and infection control. Maintains clinical competence in the pre-op assessment and intraoperative proficient as a First Assistant. He/She is responsible for patient prep and operation during the surgical procedure. Three (3) years previous experience as a Surgical Assistant (SA). At least 1 (one) year of travel experience. Ortho, neuro/ortho spine, general/robotics, urology/gyn, and vascular Education:
Graduate of an accredited program in PA/SA or International Medical Graduate. License:
CSFA Certifications:
BLS/CPR Certification.
