Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts, 19:00 - 07:00
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit is responsible for providing care to patients with telemetry needs, including those requiring cardiac drips and stroke care. The nurse will be required to perform NIH and neuro checks competently.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to telemetry patients and administer cardiac drips such as Cardizem or Amioderone.
- Care for stroke patients, performing NIH and neuro checks competently.
- Float to any tele/med surg department as needed.
- Work every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights).
- Work on holidays that fall within the contract, unless requested off during negotiations.
Requirements:
- Experience with telemetry patients and cardiac drips.
- Experience caring for stroke patients.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Nicotine-free facility compliance.
