Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacemaker insertions, COVID treatment, and other acute on chronic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize telemetry and cardiac skills in a PCU setting
- Administer and titrate various drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
- Interpret cardiac monitor strips and provide appropriate care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must have prior PCU experience and ability to read strips
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
