Job Title: RN LDRP, Labor/Delivery (L&D)

Shift: Rotating - days 0700-1900 and/or nights 1900-0700

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:

This position is responsible for caring for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum, lactation education and assistance, providing family centered care including the well newborn and the Level 2 Nursery. Assure expert, compassion, individualize nursing care for patients and families expected. They collaborate with providers, staff and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety and satisfaction.
• Demonstrates ability to triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Delivers patient education to facilitate plan of care and promote optimal wellness.
• Demonstrates ability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures as needed, consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Coordinates patient care with other physician practices and Vail Health as needed.
• Delivers excellent service by utilizing Relationship-Based Care.
• Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

Requirements:

• One-year clinical experience required.
• Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
