Job Description:

The RN will work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with responsibilities including critical patient care and monitoring, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The candidate is expected to adhere to hospital policies and provide care that meets patient standards.

Responsibilities:

• Critical patient care and monitoring in a PCU environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
• Follow floating policy between PCU and med-surg floors
• Perform procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and chest tube insertions

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips
• Proficient in EKG rhythm interpretation and peripheral IV skills
• Ability to provide care for stroke and post cardiac cath patients
• Experience with oxygen delivery systems including bipaps and high flow O2
• Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis and tube feedings
