Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing direct patient care in a mixed acuity setting, including Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and MedSurg. The role involves managing a variety of patient types and conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to post cardiac/vascular, post-cardiac cath, post open heart surgery, post TAVR, post EP studies, and post pacemaker insertion patients.
- Administer titratable cardiac/vasoactive drips and manage cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Requirements:
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Completion of a board-approved nursing education program; current RN license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- PCU level RN experience with expertise in cardiac procedural recovery and MI pharmacology.
