Job Description:

Seeking an experienced RN for the Med/Tele unit with the ability to float as needed. The clinician must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a minimum score before contract signing and should have experience with reading basic tele strips. The unit includes telemetry and cardiac/medical care, requiring expertise in handling common diagnoses such as CHF, COVID, and post-surgical patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and document telemetry strips once per shift
  • Manage patient ratios of 1:5 in a 49-bed unit
  • Collaborate with the charge nurse and house supervisor
  • Float to East Campus and potentially PCU if qualified

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience with Cerner charting system
  • Ability to manage cardiac medications, specifically Diltiazem/Cardizem drips at set rates

Traveler friendly, good ratios, great scheduling, decent providers, Uses tiger text to communicate with most doctors. Plenty of hiking activities. Close to Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix. 5:1 Med/tele and 3:1 PCU.

Cons

Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.
