Job Description:

Registered EEG Technologist needed for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Responsibilities include performing EEGs at patient bedsides, utilizing equipment such as Natus Xltek, and documenting using Meditech. Must work closely with other departments and caregivers, offering critical thinking to ensure patient comfort and quality EEG recording.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and STAT EEG procedures
• Conduct continuous video EEG procedures
• Use collodion and paste application methods
• Place electrodes according to the 10/20 Electrode Measurement System
• Work with neonates, pediatrics, and adults
• Monitor continuous video EEG and identify abnormal waveforms
• Provide services for inpatient and outpatient EEGs and EP procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in EEG
• Experience with all age groups, including NICU, pediatric, and adults
• Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) preferred but not required
• Experience with elective EMU patients and monitoring stereo EEGs preferred
