Job Description:

The registered nurse will provide care in the Progressive Care Unit, focusing on patients with intermediate care acuity, including telemetry and MedSurg. The role requires the ability to manage a wide variety of surgical, orthopedic, neuro/spine, and general medical patients, ensuring high-quality nursing care in a multifaceted healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with intermediate and stepdown acuity levels.
Coordinate with healthcare teams to manage complex cases involving surgical and medical conditions.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and administer medications as required.
Collaborate with unit staff to maintain optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid South Dakota Board of Nursing license.
1 year of nursing experience in an intermediate care or stepdown unit required.
Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
Proficiency in EPIC charting system and ability to manage telemetry, trach care, and wound care.
