Job Description:
This position involves assigning patients to the appropriate hospital units without providing hands-on patient care. The role requires strong critical thinking skills to ensure accurate bed placement using TeleTrac, Cerner, and various Google applications.
Responsibilities:
- Place patients on appropriate units within assigned hospitals.
- Utilize critical thinking to communicate with leadership if order/bed requests are inappropriate.
- Work across multiple screens and applications to ensure efficient patient placement.
- Coordinate with hospital charge nurses or leadership to address issues.
Requirements:
- Must have recent acute care experience, prefer 2 years; 1 LTC contract acceptable.
- Experience with TeleTracking and Cerner.
- Strong computer skills; prefer experience with Zoom and Google applications.
- Ability to multitask and provide good customer service.
- Understanding of hospital departments/units is essential.
- BLS Certification required.
