Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse), Acute Care

Shift: 12hr days, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage, Days, 07:00:00-19:00:00

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

The RN (Registered Nurse) in Acute Care is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a Level 1 trauma setting. The role involves working in the T8 - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5, and managing various tasks including IV insertions, telemetry monitoring, and lifting assistance. Experience with SIMs Lab procedures, a firm understanding of sterile field maintenance, and proficiency in central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion are expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the T8 - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical unit.
  • Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter and central line dressing changes.
  • Float to observation, various MS and Tele units as required.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for charting and patient documentation.

Requirements:

  • Must have Level 1 trauma experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association).
  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience.
  • Clean-shaven for fit test (men), no facial piercings, natural hair color.
  • Pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (two attempts allowed).
