Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the NICU unit will provide care for neonatal patients in a 152-bed Level II children's hospital with a Level IV NICU. This role involves managing patients with conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), and high-risk deliveries. The nurse will work predominantly with Level III-IV NICU patients, with possible floating to the ER as a sitter.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory support for ventilators
- Manage trachs, g-tubes, NG/OG, NCPAP, UAC/UVC, and PICC lines
- Administer medications and develop care plans
- Discharge planning for transitioning patients to home
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Level III-IV NICU
- Current WA state license, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Experience with EPIC EMR strongly preferred
- Ability to work every other weekend, with occasional back-to-back weekend shifts
