Job Description:

Performs breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assists with breast ultrasound biopsy. Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions, and safe administration of radiation.
• Identify and review patient requisitions for examination consistency, including demographic information.
• Have working knowledge of mammography and stereotactic equipment and protocols.
• Conduct quality control and assure equipment safety per guidelines.
• Communicate and educate patients throughout the imaging process.
• Schedule and coordinate breast imaging exams.
• Assist with departmental workflow management and supply inventory.
• Promote breast health education and participate in employee orientation.
• Maintain CEU credits and current CPR certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience preferred; healthcare experience preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Mammography (M) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must have or obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days.
• Proficiency in English language required.
