Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg TELE unit is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adult post-surgical patients, including those with strokes, oncology, CHF, COPD, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal problems, orthopedic concerns, and COVID. The role involves standard MedSurg tasks and telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Handle chest tubes, tracheostomies, and central lines.
- Perform dressing changes and manage wound vacs.
- Document care using Epic EMR system.
- Float to various floors as needed for MedSurg holds.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MedSurg nursing.
- Hold BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.
- Experience with telemetry and ability to pass tele exam during compliance.
- First-time travelers considered.
