Description
Job Title: RN - Step-Down ICU and ICU
City/State: Rockford, Illinois
Shift: Nights (7:00P - 7:30A)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 07/01/2026
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced RN for our Step-Down ICU and ICU units. Candidates must have a strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and be willing to float down to Step-Down ICU.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Documents according to standards of care.
- Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to individualized needs.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and may include shared governance.
- Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments.
- Applies critical thinking in regard to patient safety and experience.
Requirements:
- Current IL License
- CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required
